Remembering
How strange to remember the girl that was - the one who loved you
Full of fear
She clung to the scraps of you, even as they slipped through her fingers
Hastening the demise as if that were her will
Did she fear
That you'd go, or that you'd stay
That she wasn't enough for you, or you for her?
That things would change, or that they never would?
She is gone now, and I can't ask her.
